The wavelengths of the Clarity laser penetrate deep into the blood vessels that can make your skin appear red. The laser energy is absorbed by your skin and the offending vessels are removed.
Lasers can be used to target blood vessel growths (hemangiomas), spider naevi, and other angiomatous skin changes such as spider veins, while leaving the remaining skin largely untouched. Local anesthesia is usually not required. The cosmetic result after completed treatment is usually considered very good due to the favorable physical properties of the laser. Avoid sun exposure for the next 4 weeks. Use SPF 50 sunscreen for the lasered skin area for the next 4-6 weeks, especially in summer.
