Sweat therapy (hyperhidrosis)
Increased sweating (hyperhidrosis) in humans is caused by physiological or emotional stress reactions of the body. Hyperhidrosis can be differentiated into different degrees of severity. These include excessive sweating under the armpits, on the hands and down to the feet. It can be very stressful for the persons concerned. There are also good and effective "non-operative" methods of treatment.
A very gentle therapy for the armpits is Botulinum toxin (BOTOX®) treatment, which inhibits nerve stimulation of sweat glands in localized areas and thus preventing sweating for a long period of time.
